November Programs

Building and Beading for All Ages
Tuesday, November 6th 12:30-3:30
(instead of StoryTime)
Drop in between voting and conferences for some fun in the Community Room! Build with Duplo™, BrainFlakes™, and more! Make a holiday gift or jewelry for yourself. There will be many types of beads to choose from.
While you’re here, enjoy the StoryWalk™ (see below), read at the Story Stops, and come visit us in the Slusser Center. We have a new selection of children’s books waiting here for you to check out!

Read With Emma
Thursday, November 15th 4-5 PM in the Community Room
Emma is excited to listen to you practice your reading skills with her! She’s a friendly Yellow Lab who is a very patient listener. Sign up for 15 minutes of
reading time with Emma. Bring your own book or let her choose one for you.

Family Concert
Friday, November 30th from 6-7 PM in the Community Room
We’re excited to present Jefferey Clayton of PanNeubean Steel, with his soulful blend of island music. This program is part of the Starry Starry weekend events and is sponsored by the Hopkinton Library Foundation.

Story Stops
Here’s an activity for you and your child(ren) that will get you outside AND
reading! Four “Story Stops” are set up in Contoocook. After reading the stories, come to the library for a book prize. Stops are located at the playground, library porch, Slusser Center porch, and Jane Lewellen Bandstand.

StoryWalk®
Enjoy The Listening Walk (by Paul Showers/Illustrated by Aliki) on the path
behind the Slusser Center and playground.

Story Time and Lap Time
Story Time is held on Tuesdays at 1 PM and Wednesdays at 10:30 AM. (ages 2 1/2 to 5) Lap Time is on Fridays at 10:30 AM. (ages birth to 2 1/2). All events will be held in the library Community Room.


All programs are free and open to the public.
