Fri. 2/8 at 6:30pm Movie and Pizza Night.Postponed due to weather until Sunday 2/17 at 5pm Glory with Denzel Washington (rated R). Please rsvp to the library so we know how much pizza to get!
Wed. 2/13 at 7pm Harriet Tubman Chautauqua Program with Gwendolyn Quezaire Presutti (pictured below).
 
Tues. 2/19 at 7pm Mike Pride, author of Our War: Days and Events in the Fight for the Union.
Wed. 2/27 at 1pm and 7pm Book Discussion led by special guest Kate LaClair.

This Sunday - Mother Nature's Child

On Sunday October 23 at 4pm we're showing  Mother Nature's Child, a 2010 film that explores the essential ways nature experience promotes children's well-being, contributes to the future of the planet and nourishes the human spirit. Following the film there will be a discussion with the film's co-producer Wendy Conquest. Free and open to the public.

Back to the Future Part 3 Rated PG. Free popcorn and retro candy! Doors open at 6:15 PM. Movie begins at 6:30 PM. Registration preferred and encouraged. Drop-ins welcome.

Movie tonight!

Come Back to the Future 2 tonight at 6:30pm in the Community Room of the library.  Free popcorn and retro candy!  All ages welcome.

2 movies coming up!

Come Back to the Future with us on Friday night Jan. 21st at 6:30pm.  Free popcorn and retro candy!  This movie will be shown in conjunction with the Recreation Department's showing of The Last Waltz at the Senior Center as part of our Community Movie Series. (We'll be doing this again in February and March so stay tuned).
Then on Sunday Jan. 23rd at 4pm we'll be showing the movie Fresh, cosponsored by Greener Hopkinton.  Fresh is a documentary about the production and availability of locally and sustainably grown food.  A panel discussion about NH's local food supply will follow.  Panelists will include Tim Bassett, owner of Gould Hill Farm, dairy operator Jamie Robertson of Bohanan Farm, and Jim Ramanek, master gardener of Warner River Organics in Webster.
Both movies are free and open to the public and will be held in the Library's Community Room.  Join us!

Movie Night tonight

It's Friday Night Movie Time! We'll be showing a movie in the Community Room July 30th at 7pm.  Here's the description - can you guess the title? (The movie is rated PG)  We'll have popcorn and drinks too.

The beautiful princess Giselle is banished from the animated land of Andalasia by the evil queen. She finds herself in the gritty streets of the real, modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that does not operate on a "happily ever after" basis, Giselle find herself adrift in a chaotic world that is badly in need of enchantment. Giselle begins to fall in love with the cynical, no-nonsense divorce lawyer who has come to her aid. Little does he realize that this joyful, wide-eyed innocent is about to enchant him.

Friday night movie

This Friday we'll be showing a movie in the Community Room - appropriate for all ages!  Since our Summer Reading Program theme is Read Into the Knight, we're showing a very famous classic film from 1938 with Errol Flynn.  Can you guess the title?  All are welcome this Friday July 16th at 7pm!
