Thankful Thursday

We are all getting re-settled and it feels great.  Like riding a bicycle.  We have such great new storage in the staff area, we hardly know what to do.  It's like having a purse with too many pockets.  Well, some of you can identify with that...People coming back into the library seem genuinely pleased with what they see.  It does our hearts good to see such steady use of the study rooms and kids playing in the new Lewellen Children's Area.

Use of the cafe has not been overwhelming, but people seem happy with it.  It's a work in progress and we're trying to be as environmentally conscious as possible. Our cups and lids are compostable and when our Keurig comes in we'll be working on recycling those dreadful little cups as well.  Our grand new water fountain has also been installed.  The water is both filtered and cooled and there's a bottle filling station and a kid height fountain along with an accessible fountain.  This was donated by a local community member in memory of her parents Harry and Herta Grabstald for the children of Hopkinton.  Something else for which to be thankful.
