Contractor chosen

I am happy to report that we have finally selected a contractor for the library project.  WHEW!! The trustees, in consultation with our insurer Primex, have decided to go with Bergeron Construction in Keene.  Work will begin in 3 to 4 weeks, while subcontractors are lined up and planning is put into place.  The project will probably take three months from start time.

Here is some info on Bergeron fyi (their references were excellent by the way)
Bergeron Construction http://www.bergeronconstruction.com/ has been serving the Keene and New England area since 1909, which in itself is quite an accomplishment in the construction industry. With a Bergeron family member still at the helm, we continue to improve our business practices and modernize our systems while holding fast to our core values and commitment to unmatched customer service. Our employees, who have been with the company an average of eighteen years, deliver an unmatched quality of service that Bergeron's clients have come to expect and appreciate. As a result, in the last decade 60% of our business has been with repeat customers. As we enter our second century, we remain committed to quality in everything we do, to meeting each client's individual needs, and to an honest, straightforward approach to every project.

I will keep you posted as we move forward, but this feels like a significant step forward.

Meanwhile, if you haven't voted yet, there's still time.  While I was out at the polls, I picked up this excellent bag, encouraging all to use plastics responsibly.  OK, I confess, my daughter designed the logo.
