Today Servpro brought in a lift and has begun to dismantle the cupola interior. A structural engineer will be in to assess the level of damage and then we will review options for repair. It's quite an extraordinary process. This inscrutable image is looking straight up into the cupola from where the reference desk was. Speaking of the reference desk, it, along with the circulation desk, have now been disassembled and taken away. They suffered extensive water and smoke damage.
Meanwhile, we continue to make lists and photograph things that need to be replaced, And of course, we are loaning out books, movies and audiobooks at a steady rate..
A parent came in today saying that she was using our downloadable services for the first time, including reading childrens' books to her kids, who were enjoying the novelty of it!! If you need help in figuring it out, let us know.
