almost february

 So it's obviously time to put up your Valentine's Day display?  What, you don't decorate for every holiday??  I confess, this is a hold over from my mother, who ALWAYS changed displays in the house with each changing holiday.  When I asked the staff if they had anything to bring in for our display vitrine, I didn't get much of a response (they humor me...)  Here are pics of the display that Barb made of the items I brought in, which even includes an over the top card that my mother gave my father over sixty years ago. (that one in the center with the gold coach)..These are cheap thrills for me.  Call me nutty...

I also wanted to mention a new partnership that we have with the school district.  Staff at the Maple Street School have a "Social/emotional Learning" initiative and have helped to put up a display in the library of the items in our collection that address these issues.  Particularly in these complicated days it is important to have resources that help families cope.
