Holidaze

My daughter found this pic of a tin of cookies that I brought for her when we picked her up at the airport on a return trip from the Netherlands what feels like lifetimes ago.  Three years....I won't be making that many cookies this year, but certainly some of them...Where is that recipe for almond horns???
Today, gifts were delivered for the staff from the Library Foundation and last week from the trustees.  We are so appreciative of their appreciation.  We're very happy that they "bought local"  Thank you Indigo Blues and Marklin!!  And the Friends brought all manner of treats!  Thanks to all!

I finished "Simon the Fiddler".  It was ok.  I'm now reading Bradford Morrow's "The Forgers" since I picked up "The Forger's Daughter" on the new book shelves because it looked interesting and noted that I should probably read the first book first...What's not to like about a "literary thriller about the dark side of the rare manuscripts world..."  Next Arundhati Roy's "God of Small Things", which somehow I missed back when...I'm hoping for a holiday with lots of time for reading, which is not usually the case.  Not so bad...xooxoxo
