Thankful again on a Thursday

Excellent meeting today with contractor, insulation consultant, architect and some trustees.  We have a workplan and a shared understanding of goals and priorities.  Lots of work ahead with a primary focus on getting the cupola roof replaced.  Then a ceiling will be placed below the cupola air space (right above where the reference desk used to be) and insulated.  Soon we'll be able to think about fun things like wall colors and floor coverings.  Reminder to all to ask questions if you have them and to make recommendations.  Again, if there are things you are seeing in our neighboring libraries that you particularly like (or dislike) let me know.  I'm afraid that my answer to the question "so when are you going to re-open over there..." is STILL "three to four months" I'm afraid.  When that changes, I'll let you know.

We miss Karen terribly but are happy that she is off on vacation to return next Friday.

Meanwhile, Slusser is already in full holiday swing.  Paula was hard at work constructing gingerbread houses this morning for her workshop this weekend.  It was a sight to see!!
