I'm preparing for a couple of presentations to update various groups on the situation with the library.  I asked Bob LaPree, a retired photojournalist from town, who often serves as our photographer for events, whether he had any images from the evening of August 3rd, remembering that he had brought his drone along to give him a singular perspective on the event.  Though it brings on a mild case of ptsd, I think they're worth sharing.

Thank goodness for the Hopkinton Fire Department and their friends from Concord, Bow, Boscawen and Henniker, Dunbarton, Hillsboro and Warner.  They couldn't have gotten to the cupola without the Concord FD ladder truck.  We needed the departments from other towns because the smoke was so thick and noxious within the library that they needed to circulate fire fighters through to avoid problems with exposure.
