this and that

A blog reader, knowing that I like obits, shared the below on children's book illustrator Mitsumasa Anno.  I remember these books from days gone by as gentle sweet titles.  HTL only owns two of them, which I will investigate tomorrow.  Right now it is pitch black in the stacks and I don't want to turn the lights  back on.

Here are a couple of lovely images from one of his books.  He did a whole series of books capturing travels around the world like "Anno's Britain" and "Anno's Journey"...

And now for something completely different.  On my phone (as with many I'm sure) I get popups about what photos I took this day last year or two years ago etc.  This one came up yesterday as where we were this time in 2019.  Gulp...I remember as I was standing looking at the skeleton of the cupola roof, one of the workmen saying "Oh, you mean you wanted it up on the building...??"  hahaha
