So, I did opt the the "Cabinets of Barnaby Mayne" (It's ok, not great, but a diverting quick read, which is what I'm looking for, considering tomorrow...the author never met an adjective she didn't like...) and YET AGAIN, the book features a scientific illustrator. Such characters were not remotely on my radar screen before that became the chosen profession of my daughter (check out her website if you're interested in learning about what scientific illustrators do
The titles that quickly come to mind are "Washington Black", the overrated in my opinion "Crawdads" book,
The Great Unknown" and now the "Cabinets" book...this singular profession seems to be the flavor of the moment.
So why the mention of "Baader Meinhof" Syndrome? If you haven't heard of it, you'll suddenly read about it everywhere: In short, Baader-Meinhof phenomenon is a frequency bias. You notice something new, at least it’s new to you. It could be a word, a breed of dog, a particular style of house, or just about anything. Suddenly, you’re aware of that thing all over the place.

Hope you've voted or have a plan to do so. Positive thoughts to all...
And for your viewing pleasure, one of this weekend's baked goods, stuffed braided bread...Only the arugula came from the garden...sigh...
