reasons to be cheerful

Still so many books and so little time....
There are STILL bunnies hidden all over the library waiting to be found when we re-open, but I promise, the "snow" will be off the mountain in our little train layout.  Can you see this one?
You can have endless cups of tea, coffee or hot cocoa in the comfort of your own homes, but the cafe will be here waiting for you when we reopen!
You can still read a good book on the StoryWalk out behind the Slusser Center.  It is a lovely walk and not too muddy last time I walked it.

Finally, you can celebrate National Poetry Month with us this coming Sunday at 4pm with a Zoom Poetry Reading:  If you missed it, see below!  To register: RSVP to be registered as reader or listener to: doreen@nhpeaceaction.org

The Building a Culture of Peace Forum invites you to join us for a Zoom community poetry reading on April 19th at
4-5PM  (or just tune in for listening!)

Throughout all time and cultures poems have nourished and restored our minds, spirits and hearts.  Poems sustain us through storms, offer solidarity, challenge our smaller selves, bridge cultures, and make palpable our sense of belonging to each other and the earth.  What could be a better time to come together virtually and share our favorite poets?

Sign up to read a one page poem by a poet who enlivens you, or join us to offer the gift of listening. Choose poems from any historical context.  Choose poems from all cultures.
We welcome readers of all ages.

To register: RSVP to be registered as reader or listener to: doreen@nhpeaceaction.org
Please write "Poetry Forum RSVP" in subject line

Include in your email your name, email address and attach (as word doc or pdf) the poem you want to read so we can collect them and send them all out to interested participants following the gathering.  Due to time constraints, first registrant readers will be given slots for our time together.

Once we get your RSVP we will send out directions to join us on Zoom. It's easy, and Will Hopkins will be available to support anyone who needs tech encouragement.

Hope you will join us!

Warmest Wishes,
LR Berger
