Building looks naked

Today it was filled with lots of friends from Irish Electric to Hampshire Fire Protection to Bergeron Construction.  Things are coming together.

Meanwhile I've just finished two books:  a thoroughly enjoyable, well written old fashioned novel "Love is Blind" by William Boyd, his newest about a Scottish piano tuner in the late 19th century as he follows his fortune around the world.  Also finished listening to Susan Orlean's "The Library Book," which was much like listening to an excellent series of New Yorker articles.  Orleans read the audiobook and I'm afraid that there's a reason that professional voice actors generally do narration.  I found her voice to be tinny and a bit annoying, which didn't help the cause.  Nevertheless the background on the fire in LA in particular and the world of libraries writ large is definitely worth dipping into.

I'm currently reading "Cherokee America" by Margaret Verble an epic post Civil War tale of an intertwining of Native and Black families.  Very promising so far.

This weekend (weather permitting) there's a children's concert with Concord Community Music School musician "Miss JulieAnn" at 4pm on Sunday. Check the website or Facebook for an update.

Also, we are hosting an "Essential Oils Make and Take" on Sunday March 31st from 1-3 to help beat the winter blues.  Space is limited so we're asking people to register at http://bit.ly/essentialoilmakentakehopkintontonlibrary.
Just copy that in your browser...
