Mother Nature is treating us to another show today. Beware. Tomorrow I have a meeting with contractor and architect and sprinkler company to talk about the cupola and to do a general project update. Great progress continues and endless list making of items lost after our August brush with Mother Nature for review by the insurance company. Fabrics have been chosen and new upholstered chairs ordered.
We are looking for some talented person to sew our windowseat cushions. We will supply the cushions and fabric for the four windowseats. We just need someone who is handy with a needle and thread...Please contact Donna at the library if this is up your alley....
Meanwhile, to add insult to injury, some of you may remember my less than stellar anticipation of the reading audience for the newest Jody Picoult book. After abysmal circulation, I decided we could get rid of two of our three copies (especially considering our cramped quarters in the pool hall). As I often do when "deaccessioning" a book, I offered them on the email list that goes to all public libraries in the state for a bargain $3 for these virtually unread titles and got ZERO takers. Trust me, this is highly unusual, because many of our smaller libraries are hungry for deals like this. sigh...
Tomorrow I'll take some pictures of the library to share. Stay tuned....
