Not all Quiet on the Western Front

We had a busy Tuesday today  at Hopkinton Town Library West.  Checking books in and out, doing ILL, providing technology consults, talking to visitors and general library "stuff."  Our Canon copier is up and running, doing color and black and white copying and scanning.  This was one of the services that brought regular visitors into the library, so if you have this need, we can help.

We used to (and will again!) regularly welcome visitors who wanted to escape from the heat.  While the space we have  now isn't QUITE what it was, we can still offer some comfortable chairs and respite from this August wave.  The Slusser Community Center is a welcoming place.  One of the unexpected benefits of our recent collide with Mother Nature, is that we are able to witness first hand all of the activities that take place here, including the food pantry, senior lunch, exercise classes including Tai Chi, knitting, game planning, etc..  We were even happy to witness a lively pool match this morning right here in the library!  Many of the groups that have been using our community room, including the scouts, have been able to re-schedule meetings in the Slusser Center, for which we are very grateful.

If going to the Hopkinton Fair is in your weekend plans, you might consider going on Monday September 3rd.  Come park at the High School Kearsarge Ave. entrance and support the Library! On Monday, the Friends of the Hopkinton Town Library will be parking cars from 8am to dusk in the George’s Park lot for $5/car. All proceeds will benefit the library.

The coziness of Hopkinton Town Library West...
