Thanksgiving hours


The library will close at 5pm this Wednesday.  Closed on Thursday.  Open regular hours through the weekend - Friday 10-5, Saturday 10-3 and Sunday 1-5. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Tim's Vermeer - Tuesday Nov. 18th at 7pm

Join us for a showing of Tim's Vermeer, a Penn and Teller Film (89% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes!) on Tuesday Nov. 18th at 7pm in the Community Room.  Brought to you with the support of the Hopkinton Library Foundation.
Tim's Vermeer is a documentary film, directed by Teller, produced by his stage partner Penn Jillette and Farley Ziegler, about inventor Tim Jenison's efforts to duplicate the painting techniques of Johannes Vermeer, in order to test his theory that Vermeer painted with the help of optical devices.     from wikipedia

Anthony Amore, Director of Security at the Gardner Museum, is the co-author of Stealing Rembrandts, The Untold Stories of Notorious Art Heists. Today, art theft is one of the most profitable criminal enterprises in the world, exceeding $6 billion in losses to galleries and art collectors annually. And the masterpieces of Rembrandt van Rijn are some of the most frequently targeted. In Stealing Rembrandts, Mr. Amore and Tom Mashberg reveal the actors behind the major Rembrandt heists in the last century.

There are 20 books hanging from the trees of Hopkinton/Contoocook! This is in celebration of November's National Recycling Week. If you find a book, take it down and follow the directions on the bookmark inside. You may win a prize!
