NH's Golden Age of Aviation Program 10/3 at 7pm
Moultonborough Librarian
Jane Rice has recently published a book, entitled "Bob Fogg and New Hampshire's
Golden Age of Aviation: Flying Over Winnipesaukee and Beyond,” and she will be here with a presentation on Wednesday October 3rd at 7:00 p.m.
Books will be available for sale and signing following the program. Bob Fogg
was New Hampshire's aviation pioneer, and he was famous in the 1920s and
1930s for delivering the mail on Lake Winnipesaukee
and flying over 50,000 passengers over Lake Winnipesaukee from his seaplane
base at the Weirs between 1923 and 1938. The book includes hundreds of historic
images and describes a part of the history of the Lakes Region that has largely
been forgotten. Don't miss this special program!
