Library closed on Memorial Day Weekend

The library will be closed on Memorial Day Weekend and will be closed on Sundays starting May 31st. Sunday hours will resume in September.

Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program sign up starts on June 1st. We are also considering a parent child book group this summer. If you are interested, please contact Leigh Maynard at 746-3663 or lmaynard@hopkintontownlibrary.org.

Update on the Friends Book Sale

This year's book sale (Saturday May 30th from 9-6) promises to be the best ever. We've had lots of high quality and interesting donations, which will be arranged by subject this year. If you are interested in volunteering for the book sale (either for set up on May 29th or on the day of the sale), please contact info@hopkintontownlibrary.org or call Beth Bloomquist at 746-3647. We are still collecting donated books for the sale.

In the Memory House - 3 part program

In partnership with the Hopkinton Historical Society (formerly the NH Antiquarian Society), the library is focusing on Howard Mansfield's book In the Memory House, an examination of New England culture and tradition, in May and June. On May 26th at 7:30 pm, our evening book discussion group will discuss the book. All are welcome! In Hopkinton's Attic is a wonderful assortment of items from the Historical Society that is on display at the library. And on June 14th at 2 pm, Howard Mansfield will speak at the Historical Society about his research for his "tour through New England's attic."

Hopkinton READS

We will be doing Hopkinton READS again this fall. Our planning committee for this community reading program is being assembled now. Please contact Donna Dunlop at 746-3663 if you're interested in serving on the committee.
